August 2015 One Sweet Challenge

I have got to repeat the question that I heard at least twice each day last week…”Can you believe it’s almost August?” Well, it got here, and quicker than we all expected. No worries though, we have a new Sweet Pea Stamps monthly challenge, but first the announcement for our “Christmas in July” winner.

Drumroll please…

Congratulations to Ann and her beautiful Christmas card. Ann, please email me with your three (3) digital image choices (ajsdesigns@cox.net). Also, don’t forget your winner’s badge in the sidebar. Please link the winner’s badge back to One Sweet Challenge.

NOTE: We have updated the rules beginning with this August challenge. Please read thoroughly.

“Christmas in July” is always fun, but our August challenge is going to be even more fun. The theme is “back to school.” No, not literally. We want to see your challenge project using a new technique and/or a new medium. The new technique and/or new medium must be NEW to you. Let’s see what the OSC designers have created using their NEW technique and/or medium.

Annie created a mixed-media piece with Fairy Tales by Holly Durr.

Linda’s new technique was the silhouette image and the PanPastels as a medium.
Linda also drew her silhouette foliage. Her mixed-media piece is using
Grandma and Granddaughter by Molly Harrison.

Carolyn experimented with Frantage as her new medium and technique.
Carolyn used Holly Durr’s Swan ‘n Pond.

Bonnie’s mixed-media page was created with Blueberry Fairy by Holly Durr.
Bonnie also used the medium Brusho Crystals for the first time.

Audrey created a card using the technique for an easel card box.
Audrey’s card used Lemon Shortbread’s On a Mushroom.

Debbie is out of the hospital and on the mend at home.
We will be welcoming her back very soon.

This is going to be a wonderful challenge and we look forward to seeing your creations. Please link your art work in the page above or click here.

Did you know…?

In our Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook group we have a progressive challenge every two weeks. First, we have a call for projects using any Sweet Pea Stamps image that is available in the store. That theme is “anything goes.” Then those entries will receive a digital image FREE of charge, chosen by our leader and SPS store owner Lynette, for Part Two of the progressive challenge. With that FREE digital image you are asked to make a project and enter it in Part Two. Random.org will pick the winner of Part Two. That winner will receive another digital image of the winner’s choice from the SPS store. Even if you don’t enter our progressive challenge, we hope you will stop by for inspiration and share your Sweet Pea Stamps art.

The Sweet Pea Stamps Designers blog showcases Sweet Pea goodness every day. Need a little pick me up for your creative mojo, or sometimes to view a video, stop by, like I said, “every day.” You can also find out the challenge blogs that Sweet Pea Stamps is sponsoring. Here’s another chance to win more SPS goodness.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. hi again. I've emailed about my prize but haven't heard back from you yet. I know the shop has been out of action for rubber stamps and wondered if that was the reason. Hopefully I will hear from you soon. Annie xxx
